Hooded Ram – Amber Ram
Abv: 4.6% IBU: Best Bitter
The Beer: Really mellow malty aroma, good hints of hops; clear gold-amber in colour, really rich tones, not much in the way of bubbles rising, slight frothy head; deliciously malted taste with hints of hops around the edges; fresh, medium bodied with mid-mouth bitterness, smooth.
Thoughts: Really good beer this one, deliciously honest taste that doesn’t try to be complex but manages to achieve a rich depth. The bitterness really comes out as the beer warms. Love the colour, love the smoothness. Love it, and need to find it on tap – or just head down to the brewery and hang out.
