Inveralmond Brewery – De Mons
Abv: 6% IBU: 18 Belgian Abbey Ale
The Beer: Gentle malted aroma, some sweet edges; clear, light copper, little or no visible carbonation; sweet malts, not much else to extract in the taste; silky smooth, slight bitterness that gets more pronounced as the beer warms up
Thoughts: Not much in the way of distinct flavours, the sweetness surprised me more than anything, but it is silky smooth. Scotland seems to have a very good grasp of producing class beers and this one is very much in there.
