Sierra Nevada – Porter
Abv: 5.6% IBU: 32
The Beer: plenty of toasted malts coming out in the aroma, some smokey traces, hints of toffee; very (very) dark brown in colour, light tan head; toasted malts come out strongly but not too heavy on the roasting, some vanilla edges; smooth, if somewhat on the lively side, slightly lighter bodied, moderate bitterness all round the inside of the mouth.
Thoughts: Not had a Sierra Nevada in ages, still really great beer. This one is no exception, really enjoyable porter, probably as the style should be, then again not had a porter in ages, so quite enjoyable.
