La Loca Juana – Hermosa Pelirroja
Amber Ale | Abv: 5.5% | IBU: 30
Aroma: Heavy malts, some elements of pear
Appearance: Clear amber, not much head, plenty of carbonation
Taste: Malty flavours, some bitterness at first
Mouthfeel: lighter bodied, smooth but slightly can tend to feel like heavy on the carbonation, distinctive alcoholic warming
Overall: This is the first beer from Spain I’ve ever tasted. The beer appears to be bottled conditioned. The aromas, colours and good, slightly less appealing flavours. Interesting story behind the brewery and certainly located in a gorgeous part of Spain.
