Very quick review of a stout I’ve not even seen before. I am currently in Kendal in a pub called Burgundy’s wine bar, which, despite the name, specialises in beer.
Hand drawn stout that is very dark brown in colour with a team head that had plenty of staying power. Rather a pleasant, toasted nutty aroma. Beautifully smooth, dark roasted bitterness that fills the mouth. Bitterness is long lasting and just fills the mouth with a wonderful roasted flavour. Very good find and highly recommended, especially on tap.
On that note this is an area that is very sadly neglected and one which I hope to correct especially as I am moving to the Isle of Man as of now.
